Waterproof lined Mason Jar Covers ~ Excellent Saran Wrap Replacement ~ Perfect for your sourdough starter!

Our wildly popular and well-loved reusable bowl covers available in a variety of sizes ~ this listing is for the jar sized covers. We use these daily for the sourdough starter on the countertop after a feeding and for the multiple ferments we always have going.

These come in two options, depending on your needs. Both options have a 100% cotton fabric top ( the pretty print in the photos, pattern placement may vary) and elastic closure.

The first option comes lined with a natural, unbleached cotton lining. ** This will not be the airtight nor waterproof option ** This is what I use for all of my countertop ferments - sourdough, yogurt, kefir, kombucha, etc...

The second option is lined with the same lining used for our amazing lined bread bags ~
ProCare is manufactured in the USA and Canada with excellent health and food safety standards. ProCare is a CPSIA Certified Food Safe Durable Waterproof Eco-Friendly Fabric that releases no VOCs.
This lining is FREE from:

* Lead + heavy metals
* Phthalates
* BPA
* Brominates

and is tested for contact with foods. It is soft, durable, waterproof and widely used in the Food and Medical industries. I am quite anti plastic and am comfortable using this for myself and kiddos.

This option WILL keep your food as fresh as if it were stored under a lid or under plastic wrap. This film is food safe and is designed for repeated use in packaging, processing, transporting or holding food. In fact, it's so safe, it is even approved for holding potable water! The most important characteristic of this type of fabric is that it forms a waterproof barrier, while still being breathable, which means that the fabric releases heat and water vapor which is perfect for food storage. These bowl covers (and our amazing lined bread bags) are very easy maintenance, just machine wash and dry.

These covers can be used for all sorts of food storage, round or not. And it doesn't even have to be food in a container! You can pop these over the top of half a grapefruit, a block of cheese, over a hot cup of coffee or tea to keep it warm ~ tons of uses!

** Sizing information ~ the regular sized jar covers (the ones NOT labeled as gallon or gal.) will fit most jars ~ including ALL mason jars and Weck jars UP TO 4" in mouth width. If you are using larger mouthed jars over 4" in width or gallon size jars, jump up to the gallon size covers please **
